And God said, Let there be light; and
there was light. Genesis 1:3
Getting Back To The Letter
To be clear, the overarching concern for my friend is not how much money she has, or who she knows. For her, its the magníficent fortress she built around her heart. What she really needs is God. The more money she gained in life took her away from Jesus. She traded having light for darkness.
My friend isn’t the only one who traded light for darkness. In fact, if you’re honest in some ways we did too. Some of us who’ve walked with the Lord along time, allowed darkness to enter into our, “eye gates.”
When that happened, our flesh took over and we fell into temptation. Driving us out of fellowship with
God into darkness. At one time, my friend knew the
Lord, but she pursued the world. She cared more
about fitting in, than being different. She cared more
about the lastest trends, styles, and living ungodly.
Hungry For The Light
Moreover, because todays world has lost it’s morals, and is going downhill. Crime is on the rampage, our economy has fallen, a Presidential election is on the horizon, heat waves, strange storms, earthquakes, etc.
The list goes on and on, so people we need the Lord!
Let there be light in our lives, on our jobs, in our families.
Let there be Light in our churches, our governments, and in our neighborhoods.
Now let’s Pray:
Father, God give us light. Please forgive us for putting other gods before you. I repent from living an ungodly life before you. Please let your presence, light, and Spirit surround me daily.
Send a fresh move of your spirit around me today. Lord save me, and come into my heart now. Thank you, God. I love you. Thank you for loving me.
