The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
John 10:10 NL
By now you’ve heard about the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. My heart is heavy over these horrible events. When I think about poor innocent babies being brutally murdered, it sends chills down my spine. The principal, teachers, and other staff were heroes that lost their lives. The media, victim’s families, community, and nation are speechless. We’re all wondering, “Where is God? Why did he allow this to happen?” First of all, God didn’t make this young man kill innocent children and staff. He had a free will just like everyone else. The sad thing is, is that he’ll spend eternity in hell without Jesus. Satan took pleasure in using him to carry out his evil plan. As a nation, God is calling us to Repentance and Prayer. Did this get our attention? If so, What are we going to do about it? Will we continue to sit back, and point a finger at God? No, God isn’t the one to blame. God loves us very much. He wants us to call on the name of Jesus.
Let’s Engage The Enemy!
America has forgotten that God built this country upon God and strong, Christian beliefs. This is why our ancestors put these words on our money, “In God we Trust!” It’s horrible to think that some of us want these words, “Removed!” Come on America…please wake up! We can talk about gun control, mental illness, and safety until our faces turn blue. But if we don’t humble ourselves and pray, and seek God’s face. He will not hear from heaven and heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Let’s Engage The Enemy For this reason, I’m calling our nation to repent and pray. We need to give our nation, our communities, and our families to God. In the book, “Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation,” Dutch Sheets and Chuck Pierce gave a prophetic word for each state. Listen to what they said for Connecticut, “God is going to cause something in Connecticut that will cause the nation to take notice of this state. Right now God is ready to do something sovereign in Connecticut that will cause the very root of His nation to rise up in a new way.” They went on say that, “This state has favor like a film above it.” In other words, God will take this tragedy and cause them to rise up, and others will notice God’s hand on their state. Perhaps, you’re asking, “What can I do?” I believe, that God wants us to get on our knees, repent, and pray for our nation. I’m not mad at you, but I am mad at the enemy for blinding our eyes to the ways of God. I’m convinced that when we pray, that he will show us things to come. If we come into relationship with God, he will protect us! My last several posts, has been about Psalms 91, and how God has protected me from danger.
Are You Ready To Pray Now?
Let’s Engage The Enemy
Dear Lord, Lord, I come to you asking for repentance. Please forgive me from all of my sins. Please forgive our nation! Create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us. Cast us not away from thy presence, or take not thy Holy Spirit away from us. Purge us with hyssop that we maybe be clean, and wash us, so that we’ll be whiter than snow. (Ps. 51:10-11) Lord save us and give us knowledge of Satan’s devices. (2 Cor. 2:11) Protect the families living in Newtown, Connecticut, and heal the victim’s families. I know, that they’re thinking that they can’t make it, but show them your son Jesus. Let his light shine over our communities, nation, and in our personal lives. God, let your fire shine by night, and your cloud by day. Please send your angels to encamp around us and protect us, our families, nation, and communities. Lord we’ll trust in the shadow of your wings. (Ps. 57:1) The name of Jesus is a strong tower, we run into it, and our safe. (Prov. 18:10) Please let us dwell in our nation and communities safely. (Lev. 26:5) Lord thank you for being our strong tower from the enemy. (Ps. 61:3) Lord send revival, healing, restoration, peace, and deliverance to these families. Remind them that they’re the apple of your eyes, and hide them under the shadow of your wings. (Ps. 17:8) Now Lord we praise you for the victory, healing, salvation, deliverance and peace.AmenBe Blessed!
