When I saw this video,  my heart sank at the thought of the woman cop cutting her hair. She didn’t take in consideration that she hacked  off the young lady natural hair.  I know that she committed a crime, but she didn’t have to cut off her hair.  Sometimes It’s Hard  for black women to grow our hair, so we use extensions. Some of us wear extensions even if we have hair.
For several months, I’ve shared a series called, “Am I My SIster’s Keeper, ” because I want to educate women on embracing our differences.  Yes that means not tolerating one another, but taking the time to understand each other.
Of course,  that doesn’t happen without having dialogue  or a place to work out our differences.  The female cop didn’t care that this was a young woman. She only saw the crime she committed.
When Will We As A Society NOT judge one another because we are different?
Some of us in authority abuses our power, and wonder why we’re not respected.
Ladies it doesn’t matter what title you hold, how much money you have,  or wear you live.  At the end of the day,  you go home to children, a significant other, and you run a household.
I leave you with these final words,  “Am I My SIster’s Keeper. ”
